There's 1,200 km between southwest Alberta's golden prairies and the forested mountains of Vancouver Island and I've captured enough magnificent flying things to fill a dozen beautiful calendars. This first volume features songbirds and raptors found mostly in my own backyard, including some of my all-time favourites like the spiky drama of January's non-breeding adult European Starling, and the subtle wash of greens dressing November's vigilant female Anna's Hummingbird. I have enjoyed them all and I'm extremely pleased to be able to contain them in a calendar that'll look great anywhere. This classic grid version is designed to lend as much weight to the functional calendar as the bird itself. We have a 'linear' version also that lends greater prominence to the image.
