I never met a bird I didn't like! I'd like you to meet twelve of them found and photographed somewhere between homes in southwest Alberta and Vancouver Island, BC this past few years. This first collection provides a beautiful, startling, serene and whimsical backdrop to the 12 info-packed calendar months - each bird appearing in the season originally seen. Some of these flighty fellows have been regulars in my life, some fleeting moments on dusty backroads and others delightful unannounced backyard pond visitors never to be seen before nor afterward. But all of them live for at least a month more here in this calendar should you give them wings.
